    • LRA: Legionella Risk Assessment and Control of Hot and Cold Water Systems (L8)

    This course is for those installers who carryout work on Water Supply Systems within residential properties. Please contact us for course dates and course fee.

  • Course Structure
    • One Day Training and Assessment
  • This course covers the following topics:
    • Understand the Health Effects of Legionnaires’ Disease
    • Understand how Legislation and Codes of Practice can support the management of Legionella
    • Understand how to control the Risks of Legionella Bacteria
    • Understand the risks associated with Legionella in Hot and Cold Water Systems
    • Know how to Control the Risk of Legionella in Hot and Cold Water Systems

     

  • Prerequisite

    • Operatives wishing to take the Energy Efficiency qualifications shall hold domestic ACS or OFTEC or one of the following qualifications (or equivalent earlier certification that provides evidence or competence):

    • N/SVQ Level 2/3 in Plumbing  
    • N/SVQ Level 2/3 in Heating and Ventilating (Domestic Installation)
    • N/SVQ Level 2/3 in Heating and Ventilating (I & C Installation) 
    • N/SVQ Level 2/3 in Oil-Fired Technical Services 
    • N/SVQ Level 2/3 in Gas Installation and Maintenance


     

  • Achievement Upon Completion

    Upon successful completion, the Candidate will receive a Certificate of Competence for each course from either AdSkills Certification or Cert-ain.
