The award gives an opportunity for individuals to develop and/or enhance their knowledge and skills in the Inspection and Testing of single and three phase low voltage Electrical Installations.
This course is for experienced Electricians who are responsible for the Periodic Inspections, Testing & Condition reporting of Electrical Installations.

How is this Qualification Delivered?
The application of knowledge involved with the inspection and testing of electrical installations. Each Award has one unit which covers the necessary learning outcomes for periodic inspection and testing of electrical installations. This includes learning outcomes about safe isolation, inspection, safe testing, pre-energised and energised tests; documentation and the practical use of test equipment. The examinations for these qualifications are open book. The on-screen allows the use of Guidance Note 3 Inspection & Testing Published by The Institution of Engineering and Technology.

This qualification for experienced electricians. Learner must have Level 3 Diploma in Electrotechnical.
Upon successful completion of the Assessment, the candidate will receive a Certificate of Competence from EAL or City & Guild 2391-51.

L3 Initial Verification & Certification
Advance 4 Training also offers this qualification for those Electricians who wish to carry out the Inspection, Testing and Commissioning of Electrical Installations and wish to acquire new knowledge and skills. This Award gives the learner an understanding of the theory and practice of the initial verification and commissioning of both single and three phase electrical installations. The qualification follows BS 7671 and the industry recognised IET Guidance Note 3, as well as the Electrical Safely Council.

How is this Qualification Delivered?
The qualification can be delivered completely at the Centre, with a mix of workshop and theory sessions.
How is this Qualification Assessed?
The assessment involves one on-screen open book exam (IET GN3) and practical assessments covering initial inspection, earth fault loop impedance testing, insulation resistance testing, and commissioning of a three phase rig.
This qualification, along with the Level 3 QCF Award in the Period Inspection, Testing & Certification of Electrical Installations Qualification is equivalent to the previous City & Guild 2391 Inspection, Testing & Certification of Electrical Installations Qualification
