    This course includes Training and Assessment on Changeover from Domestic to Commercial Catering Gas Safety CODC1 and Changeover Domestic to Commercial Catering Appliances COCATA1.

    • COCATA1 Changeover Domestic to Commercial Catering Appliances (CENWAT, CKR1 required)
    • COCATA1 will cover COMCAT1 Commercial sized cooking range with an atmospheric burner servicing and COMCAT3 Deep Fat Fryers with Atmospheric Burners

  • Course Content

  • The course covers the following modules: 

    • CoDC1 Changeover Domestic to Commercial Catering
    • CoCATA1 Changeover Domestic to Commercial Catering Appliances (CENWAT, CKR1 required)
    • CoCATA1 will cover COMCAT1 Commercial sized cooking range with an atmospheric burner servicing and COMCAT3 Deep Fat Fryers with Atmospheric Burners

    The following appliances are covered under CoCATA1

    Stockpot Stove, Hotplates, Warming ovens, Bain Marie, Hot Cupboards, Combination Oven (forced convection), Forced & natural convention ovens, Direct & semi-indirect ovens, Boiling pans direct/indirect, Bulk liquid & jacketed urns, Expansion type water boilers, Gas fired dishwashers, Gas heated rinsing sinks, Ancillary equipment (tandoors, pizza ovens, heated woks etc.), 

    Free Standing open and solid top Range including Wok cooking stations), Natural Convection ovens (Directly, Semi-indirect, Indirect), Pastry Pizza Oven.

    Brat Pan, Griddles, Grill over & under fired, Simulated charcoal grills, Salamander grills, Ancillary equipment (Doner kebab), Deep fat fryers.

     

  • Prerequisite
    • Current CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1 or CoCN1 Certificate of Competence
    • Initial candidates have to be be registered with Gas Safe Register
    • For training and experience refer to current Guidance Note 8 (ACS Entry routes and changeover requirements)
    • Current Certificate of Competence for the related category for Re-Assessment

    Upon successful completion, the Candidate will receive a Certificate of Competence from Certain Certification Ltd.
